Set to headline Mountain Aire '00 on May 27th

According to an announcement on the BGP web site Phil & Friends will headline the 5/27 show at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds in Angels Camp, CA. (nice coincidence how the GD just re-issued the classic 1987 Calaveras GD/Frog T-shirt!). Here's the rest of the info:

Bill Graham Presents is pleased to announce the return of the historic MOUNTAIN AIRE festival at Calaveras County Fairgrounds. The MOUNTAIN AIRE Festivals began in 1974 and continued through 1987 and featured such artists as THE GRATEFUL DEAD, JIMMY BUFFETT, JOURNEY and SANTANA.

1998 brought the renaissance of this legendary festival and featured artists such as WIDESPREAD PANIC and LEFTOVER SALMON. This year's line-up highlights a new generation of talent whose names are destined to be as legendary as the acts of years past.

Performances will take place on three stages of music, one of which will be an acoustic stage. MOUNTAIN AIRE 2000 is a two-day music and camping festival in beautiful Calaveras County Fairgrounds at the base of the Sierras, in the heart of the historic Gold Country. The fairgrounds are located on Highway 49, 2 miles south of Angels Camp, in Frogtown.

Camping will be available beginning on Friday, May 26 at 2PM through Monday, May 29 at 12 noon. Special performances will take place each night for campers only; KARL DENSON's TINY UNIVERSE will perform on Friday night and GALACTIC will perform on Saturday night. Dogs will not be allowed on fairgrounds. For non-campers, doors will open at 11AM daily, with music beginning at 12 noon.

Tickets will go on sale this Sunday, April 2 at 10AM at all Ticketmaster outlets including select Rite Aid locations, select Savemart stores and all Ritmo Latino stores.
